How I Use the Dina Wakely Art Journal + Haul
/I recently picked up the new Dina Wakely 6x6 art journal and I wanted to tell you how I like to use it. It’s just like the mixed media one but all the pages are filled with heavy weight watercolor paper.
To be honest, I don’t use this as watercolor paper. I gesso right on top and use my acrylics and inks.
I’ve had a hard time trying to use the paper like traditional watercolor paper. Because of the texture, the watercolor paint doesn’t absorb like regular cold-pressed watercolor paper. The same goes for drawing. I had a hard time trying to erase because the paper would start to peal back.
How do you use this journal? I would like to know.
